Salted Caramel Twix Cookies-Low Carb Optional

Here’s to the dessert after lunch or the dessert anytime crew.  Introducing Salted Caramel Twix Cookies and let me tell you, these are truly divine.  Refined sugar free, grain free, low carb optional, and tastes like a dream come true!

 

Base:
1 cup Almond flour
30 ml coconut oil
45 ml maple syrup or sugar alternative like @lakanto
Pinch of flake sea salt

Caramel center:
1/2 cup of raw almond butter
1/4 of of maple or sugar free alternative
2 TB of coconut oil
Touch of vanilla

Topping:
2 ounces of Cocoa Bar In A Jar, Salted Caramel Crunch

Mix together the base/dough, spoon 1 TB onto a baking sheet, flatten and bake at 350 for 12 minutes.  Let cool.  Mix together caramel layer and top each cookie with about 2-3 Tsp on each. Pop in the freezer for 20 minutes to harden.  Then top with with 2 tsp of  Cocoa Bar In A Jar Salted Caramel Crunch on each cookie and chill again for 10 minutes.  Store extras in the freezer if they last that long.  They are that good!!!!  Enjoy!
